The purpose of the immune system to identify attacks on the body that cause disease. One of the jobs of the immune system is to kill pathogens and tumor cells and includes but is not limited to viruses and parasitic worms.
There are a variety of mechanisms that have evolved within the immune system that are beyond the scope of this article that keep the body healthy. Whenever any disease, and cancer is a disease, is able to make itself apparent in an individual, it is because that individuals immune system has become weak.
To overcome any disease, including cancer, long term, i.e. the rest of an individuals life, the immune system must be strengthened to a normal state.
Taking drugs to offset the effects of the disease or to stop the spread of the disease is only temporary being a few years at move. A more permanent solution would be to build up the immune system so that it can do what it is supposed to do and that is to keep the body healthy.
It can and has been done for hundreds of years. It is only with the last 75 years or so that drugs have taken over and no one any longer is concerned with their immune system.
Some of the herbs that have been found to improve the immune system are as follows:

All the body’s biochemical reactions are dependent on enzymes. They are foundational substances necessary for life, and more specifically they keep the metabolic pathways flowing. Without adequate enzymes, the body will not function properly. This may contribute to malabsorption issues and a lazy digestive system. If all the herbs mentioned above are contained in one or more vitamins, they may improve the digestive system which leads to improved efficacy which will lead to the increased capacity for beneficial change and enhancement of the immune system.
